“It has been another great week for the group and the change in the weather has definitely helped to boost morale.
As we are nearing the end of the course, it is important to keep reinforcing the messages and lessons that have been delivered throughout the last 7 weeks. Technique, pace, consistency, and maybe most importantly remembering how far we have come to push us through the last few runs. In last weeks call, discussing our Peaks and Troughs, there were no Troughs. The group were all enthusiastic for the increase in the run times/distances, and excited about being able to get their trainers on and get out there again for their runs.
For many we enter week 8 of the course, which entails 2 runs at 2.75 miles before the big 5K on day 3. I may have mentioned once or twice how proud I am of everyone, but just incase you missed it…. What this group have achieved in 8 weeks, no matter which week they are currently running in, is nothing short of incredible. Almost every single week the world has thrown a new hurdle at us, and each week, the group came out stronger than before. Not one person has said, “I can’t”.
Your encouragement and kinds words go a long way so please continue to show your support in the comments below as they take on their final runs.”
