Abshot News Summary
We will follow up this short ‘Abshot News Summary’ with more detailed information in the coming months but for now we’re pleased to update our members with the following….
Kim Cutler Returns!
In the earlier part of 2018, we recognised there was a void in our Member’s journey, from taking out a membership to staying motivated in their chosen activity. We decided to recruit Kim to ensure each member both new and old, were getting the most out of being a Member of Abshot without the pressure of having to pay for Personal Training. In the 6 months of Kim’s employment, she brought Abshot up to speed with marketing, check list systems and engaging with Members in the Gym. Her decision to leave Abshot and pursue a career in tutoring was a setback for the Club but is now back on track with her return.
Kim is going to have two main roles within Abshot with one being a new venture for us all. Kim will be following up new members to ensure they are happy with gym programmes, achieving their goals and staying motivated, she will also engage with the long serving members to freshen their training ideas and get feedback on their requirements. Abshot also has the bonus of an experienced class Instructor on hand for busy periods.
We are also in the process of setting up a Training Academy to deliver courses relative to the Health & Fitness industry. Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer and Class Instructor will be some of the courses available which will be driven by Kim, so if you have considered a change of career or a student that would like to fast track their way into the fitness industry, please look out for posts on our website / Facebook page
Our priority in 2019 will be the changing rooms. Our delay in refurbishing this area is simply the logistics of closing them for as short as time as possible. It is likely to be in August at our quiet time but confirmation of the works schedule will be notified.
The squash courts will be attended to, with front wall repairs, side wall chemical clean and a review of the floors!
Now that our Bar and Food services are back ‘in house’ again, we are gradually adding to what’s on offer taking feedback from Members and being realistic about how we can consistently deliver fresh affordably priced products. We currently have a range of freshly made filled rolls and pasta pots plus the very popular protein balls alongside a range of snacks.
Going forward we are introducing a range of flatbreads and paninis together with freshly made salads.
Remember if you open a pre-paid tab, with a minimum of £50, we add an extra 10% credit for free.
As always, we welcome feedback and suggestions and will keep you up to date with developments.
